Backfired: The Vaping Wars was the debut series in a franchise looking at the business of unintended consequences. What happens when you set out to solve a problem and in so doing, unleash a new one?

Narrative execution

As executive producer, I emphasized the need for the series to present a 360-degree examination of vaping, ensuring it embodied the highest journalistic standards. While rich in characters and mind-bending events, the show also delves into crucial policies and bureaucratic tick-tock and we needed to be sure we kept these elements accessible to consumer audiences.
